- Details of Disappearance:
- On September 6, 2009, Mark Nadel went bow hunting with friends near Pecos, New Mexico. Around 4:30 PM, he left their campsite, saying he’d be back soon. He never returned.
Nadel left his Jeep at the campsite, with his backpack, phone, and GPS locked inside – unusual, as he always took his GPS hunting. Search dogs followed his trail for a short distance, then lost it.
He was a fit, experienced hunter who preferred to stay close to his hunting spot. He owned a gym in Santa Fe and had no known health problems. His family believes he didn’t disappear on purpose. Police found no signs of foul play. It’s thought he may have gotten lost or injured in the woods.
