- Rust went missing from Saguache, Colorado on March 31, 2009. Seven years later, in early January 2016, his body was found near the intersection of highways US 17 and US 285 in the southern part of the county. It wasn’t until April of 2016 that they figured out whose body it was. Police are still looking into how he died, but everything points to Rust being murdered.
