He has a surgical scar on the back of his knee, a scar on his leg between the knee and the thigh, a snake bite scar on one foot, an appendectomy scar on his abdomen and a tattoo on his lower back. One of his feet is one to one and a half sizes smaller than the other foot, and he has caps on his teeth.

- On August 23, 2008, Michael Hearon told his sons he was going to his farm in Happy Valley, Tennessee, to mow the lawn. Because his farm had no cell service, he always let them know when he was going.
He left his home around 11:00 a.m., driving his green ATV. Neighbors saw him leave. He was never seen again.
The next day, friends found Hearon’s truck at the end of his farm’s driveway, with the trailer and mower still attached – unusual, as he usually parked closer to the house. His parents, who lived nearby, checked on him but didn’t go inside. The following day, they found the truck still there and the lawn unmowed.
His son checked Hearon’s condo and found his car and motorcycle, but everything seemed normal. Strangely, Hearon’s wallet (with cash, cards, and ID), phone, and gun were all in the truck, but his ATV was gone.
Three days after his disappearance, the ATV was found abandoned a mile from his farm, on a steep hill, in high gear with the ignition on – all very out of character for him. There was no sign of Hearon.
Hearon was a successful businessman who loved the outdoors. His family says he was happy and had no enemies. His disappearance remains a mystery.
