Michael has an M-shaped scar on his upper right arm, acne scars on his face, and a gap between his teeth. His hair was styled in an Afro at the time of his disappearance. He has a deep voice and he walks with a slow gait. Michael is of Puerto Rican descent.
- Details of Disappearance:
- Michael disappeared on April 30, 2005. A friend dropped him off near his home in Fayetteville, North Carolina, around 6:00 p.m. He never returned. He’d told his mom he wasn’t feeling well but went out anyway, saying he’d be right back.
Michael might have gone to Newark, New Jersey, where he’d lived with his father before moving to Fayetteville in July 2004. Police aren’t sure if he ran away, because it’s very strange for someone to disappear for years without contacting family or friends.
At the time, Michael was a senior in high school and had been in the Navy’s early entry program, but was discharged just before he vanished. Investigators think gangs might be involved, and they haven’t ruled out foul play, but exactly what happened remains a mystery.
