- Delaney vanished on July 3, 2008, in Davenport, Iowa. He hasn’t been seen or heard from since. This is especially strange because he talked to his teenage daughter several times a day. His white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck (a 1999-2004 model with “Z-71” on the side) also disappeared. The truck was new to him, unregistered, and had fake license plates because Delaney couldn’t legally register a vehicle.
Police are interested in a man named Mark Edward Handlon. Handlon is wanted for stealing money and a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck (a 2000 model) from a dealership. This was around the same time Delaney disappeared, and it’s possible Delaney was driving Handlon’s stolen truck. Why police suspect Handlon’s involvement isn’t public.
Delaney’s disappearance is suspicious, and investigators think something bad might have happened to him. The case remains unsolved. Pictures of Delaney’s truck and Handlon are available.
