- Details of Disappearance:
- In January 1989, Michael, a high school junior in San Francisco, left for school with his books and clarinet. His school was closed that day, but he may not have known. People saw him alone that morning near Ninth and Harrison Streets, and later near Seventh and Market Streets. He never came home.
About a month later, his school bag was found on Baker Beach, near Cliff House, with a piece of his clarinet inside. Despite searches, Michael has never been found. He was a good student and played in the school band. Police don’t know what happened to him, and his disappearance is considered a possible abduction by someone he didn’t know.
