- Details of Disappearance:
- On June 10, 2018, Schmidt disappeared while looking for arrowheads near Brush Creek in Pawnee, Illinois. He was with a friend who, around 4-6pm, tried to get him to go back to their car. Schmidt waved back but never came.
A huge storm hit soon after, dumping six inches of rain. Brush Creek flooded, covering nearby land with knee- to waist-high water. Then came a heatwave. The bad weather made finding Schmidt very difficult.
Because of his health and the flood, police are worried about him. He’s still missing and the case is unsolved.
