- Details of Disappearance:
- A mom, Sharon, her daughter Michelle, and baby Clara vanished from their farm near Port Townsend, Washington on March 5, 1963. Sharon’s husband, Raymond, said he was working and came home to find them gone—along with their car, some clothes, and money. He didn’t report them missing until four days later. Sharon’s car was found abandoned a few days after that, unlocked and empty.
Sharon and Raymond had a troubled marriage; Sharon had left him before, saying she was scared of him. About a year after the disappearance, Raymond remarried. He died by suicide in 2018.
Clara, who was only ten months old when she disappeared, had red hair and blue eyes. No pictures of her exist.
Because it’s been so long with no trace of Sharon, Michelle, or Clara, police suspect something bad happened and they are likely dead, but the case remains unsolved.
