- In June 2016, Martinez vanished near his parents’ house in Deptford, New Jersey. Four years later, in February 2020, police found 106 human bones in the woods nearby. Michael Zappley was arrested and charged with Martinez’s murder. Zappley admitted to killing Martinez after a fight, burning the body, and then throwing parts of it in the woods and the garbage. He’s facing charges for murder, hiding evidence, and disrespecting the body.
