- Four friends—Monte and Linda Parrish, and Donald and Karen Johnston—took off from Anchorage, Alaska in a small yellow and white airplane (N3186U) on June 29, 1997. They didn’t tell anyone where they were going, but probably planned a scenic flight to see Denali National Park. The plane was seen flying over the park, but then disappeared. Nobody has seen the plane or the four friends since. It’s believed they crashed, but no one has ever found any wreckage.
