Details of Disappearance:
On May 19, 2018, Troche-Garcia disappeared from Asheboro, North Carolina. She left her six-month-old baby with her ex-boyfriend’s sister, saying she was going to Mexico because her mother was sick. However, her mother wasn’t sick, and Troche-Garcia never arrived in Mexico, nor did her family know she was coming.

This is strange because she was a very devoted mother to her premature baby who was still breastfeeding. No one she knew mentioned her leaving. She made a few phone calls after disappearing, including one to a state other than North Carolina.

She was driving a burgundy 2001 Chevrolet Impala (license plate DFD-2191), which is also missing. Police haven’t found any sign of the car crossing the Mexican border or her taking a flight. There’s no evidence of a crime, but her disappearance is a mystery.

Troche-Garcia was born in Mexico, had four siblings, lived in Asheboro since around 2011-2012, became a U.S. citizen, and worked at a local furniture factory. Her case is still unsolved.
