Details of Disappearance:
On October 17, 2003, Neil Alan Eddleman, his father Neil Wayne, and their friend Gary Lisk went on a fishing trip from Naples, Florida. They were heading to a shipwreck about 60 miles away. Their boat, a white 24-foot Hydra-Sports named “What’s Left,” was well-equipped.

Around 7:00 pm, Neil Alan called his girlfriend – this was the last anyone heard from them. They were supposed to be back by 6:00 pm the next day. When they didn’t return, a search began. A rumor circulated that they’d been captured in Cuba, but this proved false.

After a huge search covering a vast area of the Gulf of Mexico, the Coast Guard called off the search on October 24th. Then, on November 3rd, their boat was found upside down on the shore of Cape Canaveral – hundreds of miles away and on the opposite side of Florida! Gary Lisk’s body was inside. While an autopsy couldn’t pinpoint the cause of death due to decomposition, police found no signs of foul play. However, Lisk’s family is suspicious, pointing to an unusual note he left before the trip and a lock change on his home.

Neil Alan and Neil Wayne were never found. They were declared legally dead in 2005. Neil Alan’s mother is suing the estates of Neil Wayne and Gary Lisk, claiming negligence caused her son’s death. The mystery of what happened to Neil Alan and his father remains unsolved.
