Details of Disappearance:
Holly Moore disappeared from Amarillo, Texas on December 2, 2016. She was driving her dark blue Cadillac, which was later found abandoned at a Toys R Us.

Billy Glenn Ivy Jr. is the main suspect. He was in jail for a weapons charge after Moore disappeared, and later charged with her murder and the murder of another woman, Charlesetta Telford, and her unborn child. He was going to face the death penalty but died of a drug overdose in jail in September 2020 before his trial.

Moore told people she was going with “Billy” to buy marijuana but was scared. Phone records show her phone and Ivy’s phone together, heading west on I-40. Her phone last connected to a tower near Ivy’s ranch in Adrian, Texas, then went dead.

Police found an abandoned truck near where Moore’s phone last pinged. The truck belonged to Bobby Lee Johns, a missing 65-year-old man. It’s unclear if Johns’ disappearance is linked to Moore’s.

Police initially thought Moore might have gone to New Mexico, but now believe she likely didn’t get much further than Adrian. She left behind a teenage son. Because of all the suspicious circumstances, police believe she was likely harmed.
