- On March 24, 1990, 18-year-old Marcotte was with friends at Cliff House in San Francisco. Around 10:15 pm, she fell into the ocean after tripping while tying her shoelace on some rocks. Her friends couldn’t save her because the current swept her away. Despite a big search, her body was never found, and she’s believed to have drowned. She was a high school senior and the youngest of five siblings.
