Details of Disappearance:: On February 12, 2014, Gonzalez disappeared from her home in North Miami, Florida. Her son, who lived with her, last saw her asleep at 2:00 a.m. When he woke up at 8:00 a.m., she was gone. This was strange because she was very organized, always made coffee in the morning, and never left without her purse, keys, phone, or medicine—all of which she left behind. The front door was unlocked, and her bed was unmade. Police used a bloodhound, but it couldn’t find any clues. Gonzalez was a retired 911 dispatcher and school crossing guard, and she had family in New Jersey and New York. Because her disappearance is so out of character, her case remains a mystery.
