Details of Disappearance:: Spencer disappeared on January 26, 1973, after being seen hitchhiking from Santa Monica to Malibu, California. Her dog, Layla (a gray and white long-haired mix of Alaskan Malamute and Shepherd), was with her. Spencer never reached her destination and has been missing ever since. There’s not much information about what happened to her.
