- Father Ratchford vanished from his Phoenix, Arizona home on November 24, 1987. He was last seen sometime between midnight and 6:30 AM near 35th Avenue and Campbell Avenue. He disappeared without a trace, taking only his wedding ring.
Although he’d talked about suicide before, police don’t think he killed himself because his religion was against it. Ratchford was a former Catholic priest who had left the priesthood to get married.
Since he disappeared, there’s been no record of him using his Social Security number, and the mystery of what happened to him remains unsolved.
