- On September 30, 1993, Matheson disappeared. He was last seen in Barre, Vermont at 9:30 in the morning. He was worried about his sick mother and left his brother’s house in his 1989 Toyota Corolla. Nobody has heard from him since.
His burned-out car was later found in the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire. Police searched the area, but they couldn’t find him. The mystery of what happened to Matheson remains unsolved.
