- Quranah and her mom vanished from Elizabeth, New Jersey on January 13, 2005. Four years later, in June 2009, Quranah was found safe in the Bronx, New York. Her dad, Laquan, had left her with a family there for a short time, but he never came back. He was later sent to jail for drug problems. He’d given Quranah a fake name, so the family didn’t know she was missing. They raised her as their own. DNA tests proved who Quranah was, and she was reunited with her family. Sadly, her mom is still missing.
