- On August 23, 1997, a young woman named Cox was last seen leaving a military recruiting office in her Kentucky hometown. The next morning, her car was found abandoned and locked in a nearby Walmart parking lot. Her purse, ID, and money were all inside, but her keys were missing and she was gone. Cox, who was about to join the Navy, was never seen or heard from again. Her family thinks she was abducted. The case is still a mystery.
