- Details of Disappearance:
- On October 3, 1987, two fishermen, Basgier and his friend Marc McDaniels (age 27), went fishing off the coast of Virginia Beach in a small, bright green boat. The boat had a white motor and Virginia license plate 2525K. They were heading towards the Chesapeake Light Tower. A big storm with 10-12 foot waves hit that day, and neither man nor their boat were ever seen again. They are believed to have been lost at sea. A picture of their boat is available. We don’t have much information about McDaniels.
