- Hardie disappeared from Foresthill, California on March 27, 1992. He’d had a fight with his wife and stormed out, taking only his dirt bike and helmet. He left his keys and wallet behind. Since he was known to be a survivalist (someone who’s skilled at living in the wilderness), police think he might have ridden his bike into the woods and never come back. He’s been missing ever since.
