- Details of Disappearance:
- In July 2010, a man named Bissell went camping near Rock Lakes in Oregon. He drove his white Nissan Sentra to a trailhead, hiked a short distance, and set up camp. He only took his fishing rod, leaving his sleeping bag and other gear behind – suggesting a short trip.
When he didn’t return, his brother went looking for him and found the campsite empty. After a second unsuccessful search, the police started a big search of the area, but Bissell was never found. The area is very difficult to navigate; it was so rough that even search horses lost their shoes!
It’s believed Bissell got lost or injured early in his trip and sadly, his body was never recovered.
