- Details of Disappearance:
- LaKesha Stubblefield vanished on November 10, 2015, after attending a basketball game with friends. She was a college student studying criminal justice and was eight months pregnant. Her car was later found abandoned, and her phone and bank accounts were inactive.
Her boyfriend, Derron Fuller, denied being her boyfriend or the father of her child, claiming she had talked about going to Atlanta. However, his cousins told police he confessed to killing a pregnant woman and burying her near an elementary school in Gary, Indiana, because he didn’t want to pay child support.
Fuller was found at his girlfriend’s house. His girlfriend told police he admitted to killing Stubblefield and she witnessed him throwing Stubblefield’s belongings out the car window.
In 2020, Fuller was arrested and charged with two counts of murder (Stubblefield and her unborn child) and obstruction of justice. His girlfriend received immunity for her testimony. Stubblefield’s body has never been found, but the evidence strongly suggests foul play.
