- Someone named Whittenburg disappeared from Shelby, North Carolina in late April 2003. He got half his paycheck from his job at Fox Mountain Weaving but vanished, never collecting the rest. His mom reported him missing three weeks later, on May 12th, because she hadn’t heard from him. He’s never been found. This was unusual for him; he wouldn’t just disappear. His mother heard rumors he’d been killed and buried, and she believes he’s dead. The police haven’t solved the case.
