- One day in October 1986, a man named Olsen disappeared. He lived on a big farm near Mason City, Iowa, with his girlfriend. He had recently moved there from another town, Britt, Iowa, where his son and ex-wife still lived. He’d often go visit his son.
One night, around 1:00 a.m., Olsen left home saying he’d be back in an hour. He never came back. Nobody has seen or heard from him since.
Months later, his car, a black Pontiac, was found abandoned in a trailer park in a nearby town. There were no clues about what happened to him, and nothing suggested a crime. The mystery of his disappearance remains unsolved.
