Details of Disappearance:
Rogelio, a teenager living in San Antonio, Texas, vanished on June 29, 1975. He went on a fishing trip with a large group, including his girlfriend and friends, telling his parents they were going to Corpus Christi but actually going to Bay City. This was unusual for him.

While swimming at Matagorda Beach, a strong current pulled Rogelio, his girlfriend, and her friend out to sea. The girls were rescued, but Rogelio disappeared. Although police believed he drowned, his family didn’t. He was a strong swimmer, and they suspected he might have run away, possibly due to problems with his alcoholic father, or even suffered amnesia.

Adding to the mystery, people claimed to have seen Rogelio after he disappeared, and his family received strange phone calls that they believed were from him. Sadly, Rogelio’s father died by suicide a year and a half later. To this day, Rogelio’s disappearance remains a mystery.
