- Mark Kruska vanished in October 1978. He was last seen hitchhiking near Interstate 5 in Los Angeles after leaving his home. He was a former high school football player who’d been struggling with drugs and alcohol but was trying to turn his life around. The day he disappeared, he learned he had a different father than his siblings, which upset him greatly. His family didn’t report him missing until February 1979, hoping he’d return. Police think he’s likely dead, but there’s not much evidence to help them solve the mystery.
