Details of Disappearance:: Ross disappeared on September 14, 1978, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He called his sister, said he loved her, and was going to Washington, D.C. That was the last anyone heard from him. His family worries something bad happened to him because he was very close to them and would never just leave without saying goodbye. There’s a chance he was involved in something illegal at the time. The police haven’t solved the mystery of what happened to him.
