Details of Disappearance:: On April 6, 1985, Zellmer vanished. His car, a 1984 Chevy Cavalier, was found abandoned on a bridge in South Sioux City, Nebraska, with the engine running. His apartment was empty, but nothing seemed to be missing or out of place. Police searched the Missouri River but found no trace of him. Because Zellmer had been depressed, they considered suicide, but the possibility that he was kidnapped hasn’t been ruled out. The mystery of what happened to him remains unsolved.
