- On September 13, 2010, a young woman named Clarke disappeared from her home in Orange, Virginia. She told her brother she was going out and would be back, but she never returned. Her family reported her missing two days later.
Police think Randy Allen Taylor might be connected to her disappearance. They knew each other and talked on the phone the day Clarke vanished. Taylor was later convicted of kidnapping and murdering Alexis Murphy, a teenager who disappeared in 2013. Although Taylor hasn’t been charged in Clarke’s case, the timing and connection make him a person of interest.
Clarke was a recent high school graduate and didn’t have a cell phone or driver’s license. It was unusual for her to leave without telling anyone where she was going. While she had left home briefly once before, she always stayed in touch with her family.
