Details of Disappearance:: On June 5, 2004, Samuel and Lindsey were taken away from their home in Independence, Missouri by their dad, Daniel Porter, who didn’t have legal custody of them. Police found Daniel later, but the children were gone. He was sent to prison for 38 years for kidnapping them, but he wouldn’t say where they were and kept changing his story. Sadly, in September 2007, their bodies were found buried in the woods near Sugar Creek, Missouri. Police say they were murdered, but haven’t shared many details. It’s not yet clear if Daniel will face more charges because of their deaths.
