- On December 2nd, 2009, a man named Bower rented a boat in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, and went for a sail. He told people he’d be back by 5:30 PM. He never returned.
His boat was found later that day, empty and going in circles a few miles offshore. A big search was done, but Bower was never found. It’s believed he had an accident at sea, but his body was never recovered. He had recently moved to Hawaii from Utah.
