Details of Disappearance:

Sandy disappeared on September 19, 1984. She was 17, responsible (even acting as a second mother to her younger siblings after her parents’ divorce), and popular (president of her high school club). That night, she was going to a store for cigarettes but got a ride to a bowling alley where her cousin worked. She couldn’t get a ride home from her cousin, so she made several calls trying to get a lift. Around 9 pm, she left with someone she didn’t know. She’s never been seen since.

While some think she ran away, her mother doesn’t believe that. Police consider it a possible abduction. Several theories exist:

* **Abusive Ex-Boyfriend:** Sandy had a violent ex-boyfriend she still saw, even after moving out.
* **Accidental Overdose:** Sandy was known to use drugs and alcohol, and some suspect an accidental overdose at a party.
* **”Suit Parties”:** A rumor of secret parties involving local men exchanging drugs and sex with underage girls exists, but there’s no proof Sandy was involved or that these parties even happened.
