- Details of Disappearance:
- On May 4, 1989, Micek went to a bar called the Bear’s Den in South Bend, Indiana. Around 3:00 am, he called his mom, sounding worried, and asked for a ride home. She said no, telling him to take a taxi. He called again ten minutes later, still anxious, but his mom still refused. That was the last time anyone heard from him.
Even though he disappeared in 1989, police learned he might have been arrested for drunk driving a few times in 1993. There was also a tip that his body was in a barrel at a quarry in nearby Mishawaka, but the police couldn’t find anything.
Micek lived on Fox Street in South Bend when he vanished. To this day, nobody knows what happened to him, and the case is still open.
