- Details of Disappearance:
- On September 8, 2011, a young woman named Peoples disappeared. She was last seen walking near her home in Geneva, Alabama, around 3:00 PM. She’d told her parents she was coming home from her boyfriend’s place (where she lived), but she never arrived. Her front door was left open, and her bike – her only way to get around – was still at home. Her boyfriend was away that day.
Peoples was shy and afraid of the dark and thunderstorms. She loved pizza, macaroni and cheese, and hamburgers (and surprisingly, raw carrots and onions!). She liked wearing skirts and flip-flops, and enjoyed biking and movies. She was very close to her family, who don’t think she would have run away.
Because she’s never been found, and because she left behind her bike and had no reason to leave, her family fears something bad happened. She might still be in Alabama, or somewhere else in the Southern US (like Florida or Tennessee). They believe someone she knew might have harmed her. The case remains a mystery.
