Details of Disappearance:
In August 1996, a woman named Holland disappeared. She lived in Atlanta, Georgia, but also had a vacation home in Flagler Beach, Florida. She was last seen leaving her Florida home around noon on August 16th, planning to drive back to Atlanta. She never arrived.

Her sisters reported her missing. Her Atlanta house had very few belongings in it, and nobody with keys to the house had been inside since she disappeared.

Eight days later, her gold BMW was found abandoned on I-75 in Georgia, with a flat tire. Her two dogs were found nearby; one was dead, the other was alive and given to her sister. One dog seemed to be trying to lead someone to a wooded area, but police found nothing there.

There was an unconfirmed report that Holland was seen putting luggage into a white pickup truck near her abandoned car on the day she disappeared.

Holland ran an escort service, and her business partner believed she’d been murdered because of it. He said she’d made enemies and used hidden cameras to blackmail people. He even claimed to have heard people talking about killing her.

Holland was also having problems with her boyfriend, a married man she planned to marry. They argued before she left for Florida, and she never called him back as promised. Friends said she was depressed about the relationship and her work. One of Holland’s sisters even suggested she might have faked her own disappearance to go to Europe.

Despite investigations, including leads and witness statements, Holland’s disappearance remains a mystery. Police don’t know if she left willingly or if something happened to her.
