Details of Disappearance:
Silas, a young boy, disappeared in Cheyenne, Wyoming in October 2016. His grandfather reported him missing after his mother, Rhiannon, said a man had taken Silas and didn’t bring him back.

Rhiannon’s boyfriend, Logan, was caring for Silas when he disappeared. Logan gave police several conflicting stories. First, he said he gave Silas to a friend named Santiago to go camping. Then, he said a motorcycle club took Silas. Finally, he confessed that Silas fell off a counter, hit his head, and died at home on October 20th. He and Rhiannon didn’t get him medical help. Logan said he put Silas’s body in a trash bin. Police found evidence in the trash bin and Rhiannon’s car suggesting a body had been there. They also found evidence in their home that Silas had died there.

Logan also admitted to using methamphetamine and that Silas had been exposed to the drug. Before the police found the evidence, a relative of Silas also told police the boy was injured days before he went missing and that Rhiannon had lied about how he got hurt.

Logan was charged with manslaughter and child endangerment. Rhiannon was arrested, but not formally charged. She didn’t help the police with their investigation.

In 2018, Logan pleaded guilty to manslaughter, saying Silas died after he fell while Logan was high on drugs. He received an 18-to-20-year prison sentence, but later claimed his confession was forced and that Silas is still alive. Despite a massive search, Silas’s body has never been found.
