Details of Disappearance:: In 1994, Owen, a college student from Fort Worth, Texas, was spending his summer in Hawaii. He worked at a Chili’s in Waikiki and was last seen on June 29th. His bike was found locked to a tree near the Manoa Falls trail, but Owen vanished. Despite a huge search, including help from billionaire Ross Perot, he was never found. Police don’t think anyone harmed him; they think he might have had an accident while hiking, maybe falling in a deep part of the valley. His mom said he was an experienced hiker, so it’s a mystery how he disappeared. The case remains unsolved.
