- In June 2010, a man named Jackson disappeared from Guilderland, New York. He was a major marijuana dealer, known for carrying lots of cash. Two days later, he was reported missing.
Police believe five men – Gino Uzzell, Anthony Davis, Ricky Thornton, Jason Benn, and Louis Chaney – kidnapped him. They ambushed him near a marijuana stash house. Benn even used Jackson’s credit card after the kidnapping.
The men planned to force Jackson to reveal the location of his drugs and money, then kill him. They tied him up, beat him, and then disposed of his body in a sewer. His body has never been found.
Uzzell and Davis confessed to their roles and testified against the other three. However, the trial had mixed results. Some of the men were convicted of lesser charges, while others were acquitted. Ultimately, none of the three were convicted of Jackson’s murder.
Although Thornton and Davis are not officially suspects, police think they may be connected to other disappearances in the area. The case remains unsolved.
