Details of Disappearance:
On March 1, 2017, a man named Hixson was last seen in Hayfork, California. He called the police, saying he’d been hit in the head with a baseball bat after going into someone’s house. He later changed his story, saying he’d fallen. Police saw his head injuries but he refused medical help. He vanished and hasn’t been seen since.

Police know who supposedly hit him with the bat, but aren’t sure if that person is responsible for his disappearance. Hixson often went on long walks and bike rides, so it’s possible his head injury confused him, and he wandered off into the nearby wilderness and got lost. The case is still a mystery.
