- In June 1982, a man named Simmons vanished from San Diego. Four months later, his bones were found buried near the Colorado-New Mexico border. He had been murdered – beaten and shot. Another body, a woman named Margaret Walden, was found buried nearby, also murdered. It took a long time to figure out who they were; Simmons was identified in 2014, and Walden later that year. Police are still trying to solve their murders.
