- Details of Disappearance:
- Susan Cassell, a nurse, vanished from her Glendale, Arizona home on January 3, 1991. She’d worked a double shift and unexpectedly came home, leaving her four-year-old son with her husband, James. James then took their son camping overnight and reported Susan missing when he returned the next day.
Susan’s car was at her family’s house, and she left several unclaimed paychecks at the hospital. She spoke to her mother on the phone that day, saying she was tired but would call back – she never did. Her mother said this was unusual. While Susan and James had marital problems, she otherwise seemed happy and healthy.
James divorced Susan in February 1992 and moved to Pennsylvania with their son. Police suspect foul play in Susan’s disappearance, but no one has ever been arrested. The case remains unsolved.
