- Details of Disappearance:
- Susan disappeared from Newcomerstown, Ohio on March 16, 1982. She was leaving work at Thompson’s IGA and got into an older blue car with a man. No one has seen or heard from her since.
The police investigation’s records were lost, making it harder to solve the case. Susan’s parents believe her ex-husband, Allen, was involved. They were divorcing and fighting over custody of their son, Damin. Allen died in 2003, claiming he was innocent and that Susan left voluntarily.
Susan’s parents also suspect Allen’s friends, Rick and Kelly Parrish. Rick owned a blue car like the one Susan was seen entering, and he, Kelly, and another person died in a car crash two weeks after Susan vanished. Susan’s parents think she might have gone with them, possibly to protect Damin from threats.
A bus driver reported seeing someone who looked like Susan in 1983, getting off a bus in Newcomerstown. This bus stop was near a gas station where Rick Parrish worked.
The case remains unsolved, but police reopened the investigation in 2006 and suspect foul play.
