- Details of Disappearance:
- In March 1998, college student Lyall disappeared after leaving her job at a software store in Albany, New York. She took a bus home to her dorm at SUNY Albany, but never arrived. Her boyfriend never heard from her that night, despite repeatedly calling.
The next day, someone used Lyall’s ATM card to withdraw $20 – knowing her PIN. Two months later, her work ID was found near her bus stop.
Before she disappeared, Lyall mentioned being stalked, though she didn’t seem scared. Her boyfriend, who lived nearby, didn’t check on her that night, leading her parents to suspect him, although he has never been officially considered a suspect. Their relationship was reportedly troubled.
Lyall’s case is unsolved, and bears similarities to another unsolved disappearance of a SUNY Albany student thirteen years earlier. Lyall was a quiet, creative person with a passion for computers and the band Rush.
