- Suzen vanished from Malvern, Arkansas in September 2016. Her former sister-in-law, Rachael Cooper, was initially charged with murder, but later pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of helping someone avoid arrest. She got 25 years in prison.
Police also charged Donald Smith with murder. They believe Rachael set up a drug deal between Suzen and Smith—Suzen would trade pain pills for meth. They think Smith killed Suzen in Rachael’s truck, and then Rachael helped clean up the crime scene.
Suzen’s body was found in August 2018. Smith’s trial hasn’t happened yet.
