- On June 11, 2020, Tarie was playing with her family and their dog on a sandbar in the Platte River at Schramm Park in Gretna, Nebraska. She got separated from them, and the river’s current carried her away. People saw her about a mile further down the river, but then she disappeared. It’s believed she drowned.
