- In May 2003, Tariq and his nine-year-old sister Sarah vanished from Miami after their dad, Ahmed Elsafi, picked them up for a visit. He was supposed to bring them back two days later but didn’t. Their mom reported them missing, and a court gave her full custody. The police issued a warrant for Ahmed’s arrest for kidnapping.
Ahmed (born September 22, 1961, around 42 at the time) is African-American, about 5’11”, and between 205-220 pounds, with black hair and eyes. He might use different names and birthdays. He’s from Sudan and worked as an airline mechanic; he might also be a pilot.
Sarah was found safe in 2018, but Tariq is still missing. They may be in Canada, Sudan, Yemen, or Saudi Arabia. Pictures of Ahmed are available.
