Details of Disappearance:
Telethia disappeared on September 10, 1978, in Baltimore, Maryland. She was six years old and playing near her aunt’s house when her mom went to church. Telethia was never seen again, and her family reported her missing that night.

A man who was later suspected in the 1988 murder of eleven-year-old Latonya Wallace was often on the same street where Telethia lived. Latonya was killed violently, and the case wasn’t solved. Because Latonya looked a lot like Telethia, police showed the suspect a picture of Telethia. He first said he knew her, then denied it. This suspect died without ever being charged in either case.

Telethia was adopted as a baby in New Jersey and only recently learned she was adopted before she disappeared. Her family moved to Baltimore five years earlier, and her parents were divorced by 1978. She lived with her mother but saw her father regularly. Telethia loved school and was in first grade. She had family in New Jersey and Virginia.

The mystery of Telethia’s disappearance remains unsolved.
