- Details of Disappearance:
- Teresa Wisner vanished from Elwood, Indiana on May 24, 1990. Her husband, James, said she left home at 9:30 PM, but she never came back. A phone call she made from a local inn at 10:00 PM was her last known contact.
Witnesses saw a woman matching Teresa’s description walking along a road around 10:30 PM. A man in a car yelled at her before driving off. Two days later, her car was found abandoned with a flat tire. She was gone.
Teresa and James were having problems, and she was planning a divorce. She had a new job but left all her belongings behind – very unusual behavior. Police suspect foul play, and they consider James a prime suspect.
Teresa’s parents noticed a strange smell at James’s house and heard he poured concrete in his basement around the time she disappeared. A search found nothing. James initially let Teresa’s parents see their grandson, but stopped after her father asked him about Teresa’s disappearance. A judge later ruled that there was enough evidence to suggest Teresa was dead, granting her parents visitation rights to the child.
Despite suspicions and investigations, Teresa’s case remains unsolved. Her body has never been found, and no one has been charged with her murder.
